High-tech frame manufacturing

The frame profiles are manufactured on modern profiling and bending machines - dimensionally accurate, burr-free, right-angled, flat and with wide/deep rebate for safe fitting of the damping profile.

 

Primer

For priming the EC-method is applied (EC - electro-coating, that is to say electro immersion method). According to today's state of technology with this coating method we achieve the best priming results for frames made of galvanized steel sheets.

Steel Frames - galvanized and EC-coated

Today, steel frames are always made of hot-galvanized, only in exceptional cases of electrolytic galvanized, thin sheets. The conserving corrosion protection by hot galvanizing alone can not be considered as a final result. A zinc surface is not resistant to a number of influences. Thus, zinc forms in combination with other materials corrosion products, such as white rust, and the unprotected zinc surface would degrade. Furthermore, a zinc surface is only restrictively usable for subsequent coating treatment. For these reasons, a material-specific protection and priming is required coupled with a thorough surface cleaning.

Process Cycle

Cleaning, degreasing, phospatizing, washing, electro-immersion, burning-in. The high burning temperature of approx. 180°C produces a particularly resistant dry coating which also provides best conditions for storage, mounting and final coating in addition to an excellent adhesion to zinc.

Only electro-immersion achieves a smooth, run-free coating on all surfaces, radius, edges and in all liquid-accessible hollow spaces - thus a comprehensive coating and a high-quality protection.

The costs for subsequent coating treatment of the frame are considerably reduced by the EC-coating.

Without "ifs and buts" a optimal surface protection on zinc surfaces can be achieved by primer-coating with electro immersion method and by additional burn-in of the applied coating film.
   

Seal profiles

Seal profiles for steel frames

Tight and quiet - practice-oriented seal profiles by Novoferm.
Tight seals to keep out the draft and the noise. The seal profiles are systematic, function-oriented further developments of Novoferm. The material – high-quality thermo caoutchouc (NTC*) – and the special geometry of the seal profile produce outstanding properties:

• Permanently elastic, dimensionally stable, highly resilient
• Non-aging and resistant to vashish paint
• Environmentally-friendly, easy to process
• Active soundproofing
• Tolerance compensation

The lip profile serves to widen the closing area and ensures quiet closing. Thanks to the generously dimensioned frame rebate the damping profile is easy to fit. The damping profile adapts to the cross section of the rebate and is supported by wedge-shaped lips. The result: for optimum soundproofing, and excellent damping of the door, an extremely low closing pressure (tolerance compensation 5 mm) is all that is required. In addition to the NTC standard seal, various special seal profiles are also available.

Hinge subconstructions

From subconstructions that have proven their worth millions of times to innovative further developments, Novoferm hinge subconstructions guarantee optimum stability and security.

   

Hinge subconstruction V8610:

The outstanding classic

For use in standard applications and for the stronger VS or VN hinge groups of the V8 type series:
• More than 200 hinge variants ranging from galvanized, to color painted, to gilded surfaces.
• Mortar tightness is achieved through a plastic protection box, fixed in position when welding the hinge subconstruction to the frame profile.

   

When the opening direction is changed, the hinge hole in the frame facing is closed again by screwing in the hexagon socket screw. Ideal for the artisan: The depth of the hinge frame sections can be adjusted. Special holes prevent the hinge frame sections from falling out of the frame and cause the hinge holes to be closed by way of a forced movement of the clamping plate.

The innovative further development

Offers top stability in a compact format. The sturdy housing construction as well as the special details of the outside wall of the housing and the hinge frame section strap durably prevent the hinge frame sections from tipping under load.

   

The added safety bonus: Three times as high a resistance to tearing out as a conventional hinge! In addition, the moveable parts of the construction cannot fall out of the housing. The overall height of the subconstruction is less than 15 mm, e.g. its ideal application lies in the field of gypsum plaster board partition construction frames with throat opening edges ≥ 15 mm.

   

Novoferm VX7611/3D:

For the heavy weights

The ideal hinge subconstruction for heavy door leaf weights and stresses. With a suitable hinge it can cope with door leaves weighing up to 150 kg. The shape of the housing and internal assembly, the size of the hinge hole and the hole pattern of the hinge frame section straps allow the hinge straps/door leaves to be adjusted in height and depth.

   

In addition lateral adjustment is enabled by two threaded spindles (outer hexagon socket screws) working in parallel, with the result that three-dimensional adjustability is achieved. The spindles can also be moved independently of each other. The system also permits technically correct, fine adjustment capable of bearing the load, also as possible tolerance compensation for frame, door leaf, and floor.

The hinge subconstructions VN 7608/120 3D and VN 7608/160 3D are identical in function and similar in design.
